Within the guide, you'll find practical ways to press into prayer, seek the Lord's will, recognize and encourage the spiritual giftings your children may naturally walk in, and use intentional discussion questions to help your family listen for God's voice together.

Kristen Garcia is a devoted mother, nurse, and servant at Freedom Church. As a single mother, she faithfully balances motherhood, a demanding career in nursing, and ministry while keeping her eyes on God through every season. She serves in the nursery, on the prayer team, and with Freedom Women, where she loves encouraging others, building meaningful relationships, and seeing God move in the lives of those around her. Kristen is passionate about caring for others, raising up the next generation, interceding through prayer, and creating a community where women can support and strengthen one another. Her heart is to lead by example, showing her children the power of prayer, the importance of serving others, and what it means to trust God through every season.

We are grateful for Justin and Jade Sharp and their family's faithful commitment to serving our church. Whether welcoming guests, investing in the next generation through our youth in Next Gen, or caring for our youngest children in the nursery, the Sharp family serves with joyful hearts and a desire to glorify God.

Their story is a beautiful reminder that God often calls families to step out in faith and serve where He leads. Through their willingness to say "yes," God has strengthened their family, deepened their faith, and used them to encourage and bless others. We are thankful for Justin, Jade, Jayden, Jordan, and Liliana, and for the example they set by serving together as a family. May God continue to bless them as they faithfully point others to Jesus.

Raised with a foundation of faith, Jeannette shares her journey of drawing closer to God after seasons of distance and life's challenges. Through His unwavering presence, grace, and restoration, she discovered forgiveness, peace, and a deeper understanding of God's faithfulness. Her story is a reminder that no matter how far we may feel from Him, God never stops pursuing His children and continues to restore those who place their trust in Him.

Hector and Pilar Ortiz serve in many areas at Freedom Church but together and individually. As a couple they lead “Free Indeed”, Prayer Team, and a Wednesday night small group while Pilar sits on the board of Freedom Church.

With over four decades of marriage and a journey marked by faith, restoration, and surrender to God, Hector and Pilar have a passion for helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus. Their testimony reflects the power of God’s redemption, the importance of a Christ-centered marriage, and the call to serve others with a servant’s heart.

Ozzie's testimony is a story of faith refined through loss, disappointment, and God's grace. Raised Catholic, he faithfully attended church and sought to live a good life, yet struggled to understand why painful events continued to occur. Through these trials, he came to realize that faith is not about religious performance or personal achievement, but about a daily relationship with Jesus Christ. God used seasons of brokenness to humble him, deepen his dependence on Him, and reveal the power of grace. Today, Ozzie is grateful for his wife, family, church community, and the calling God has given him to lead others to Christ. His story is a testament to God's faithfulness, redemption, and ability to work through life's most difficult circumstances for His glory.

It is commanded in scripture to proclaim God’s righteousness through our testimony so that we can encourage one another of God’s redemptive power; therefore, we are honored to share Erik Miller’s story on how God brought him into sobriety and restored his life and his sons back to him. While sharing his testimony, Erik also provided the discipleship program that helped him make the pivotal decision to come back to Christ and walk in freedom.
